Yogi Ramsurat Kumar was born on 01.12.1918 near Kasi. He saw many sages on the bank of river Ganges and his
natural thirst for God increased with time. He met a sage Kapadia Baba, with whom he spent time and sought
answers to improve his spiritual knowledge. One day, he travelled to Aurobindo Ashram in Pondichery. Then he
moved to Ramana Ashram, Thiruvannamalai. He spent around 2 years between these two places. Later he went and
met Papa Ramdas in Kanhangad. Yogi Ramsurat Kumar was initiated by Papa Ramdas and was given Rama Mantra.
Yogi Ramsurat Kumar travelled across India for many years and finally settled in Tiruvannamalai. In
Tiruvannamalai, he typically stayed underneath a tree near railway station or near Arunachaleswarar Temple. He
has helped thousands of people, solving their personal problems and for their spiritual growth. Later in 1978,
he stayed in a house bought for him in Sannadhi Street. He moved to another location 'Sudama' illam which is
very near to the Ashram. He attained Maha-Samadhi on February 20, 2001.
